Saturday 6th of December - 5.30pm (Doors 4.30pm) Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre
Broadbeach Alliance will present their annual Christmas Concert at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) with a Swing flavour. Organizers have decided that with the unpredictable weather of late the show must go on so they have brought it indoors. On Saturday the 6th of December the show will go on at the GCCEC where the audience will be treated to a concert jam packed full of fantastic swing entertainment proudly supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia.
The audience will enjoy music from the Allan Brown Big Band, the vocal styling’s of, ‘The Blenders Choir’, special guest Alex, the Lion from MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA (only at the movies from December 11), the Ikin Dance Cheerleaders, the man himself ‘Santa’ with his elves and as well as lots more.
Broadbeach Alliance Marketing Executive Tammie Readings believes that this Christmas Concert will be one not to be missed.
“This concert is going to be spectacular with a 16 piece big band, a 35 piece male vocal group, cheerleaders and roving performers it will be an extremely special family event.
Miss Readings says that moving the concert to the Convention Centre was a conscious decision made with a history of bad weather of late and public safety in mind.
“With the weather as unpredictable as it is at the moment it was the safest option for us to make the decision to move the concert indoors. We didn’t want to have to cancel it should anything happen and this gives us the opportunity to put on an unforgettable event without weather concerns.
With tickets becoming available from Thursday (20th November) Broadbeach Alliance recommends getting tickets early.
“The tickets will go fast so we ask that people only take what they are absolutely going to use but get in quickly to avoid disappointment.

The Gold Coast’s very own, The Blenders’ are now a household name with their performances on Battle of the Choirs where they made it to the quarter finals. The Blenders were thrilled to perform in the debut show although they did not sing what you would expect from Australia’s champion barbershop chorus – The Blenders impressed the judges with a moving rendition of Michael Jackson’s Man in the mirror and Kylie’s – Spinning Around. Performing as a 35 piece choir at the Swing into Christmas Concert there will even be a few surprises for the audience.
